Barcelona still retains some ancient old crafts shops that adorn the streets from the city, with its majestic facade and continue to offer its customers true quality products. These are a small part of them.
1. “El Ingenio” (The Wit): C / Rauric, 6.
Founded in 1838 by the family of sculptors Escaler, this store has preserved over the years the same intimate environment. It offers a wide range of products related fun, play and the show.
2. Mauri bakery: Rambla Catalunya, 102.
The Mauri bakery started its activity in 1929 from the hand of Francesc Mauri Ciuró. Today Mauri represents an example of Catalan pastry tradition that offers quality service and a wide variety of cakes, chocolates, coffee, deli and catering services in a mythical enclave of the city to its customers.
3. Sarret, bread shop: C / Girona # 73.
This modernist bakery, dating from 1878, and is notable for its overview, created from wooden frame, along with the curvature of the intersecting lines and ovals, hosts the label and extends building facade.
Between the two doors in the wall stands a shield showing the allegory of the wheat harvest. The label currently printed, may have been originally leaded glass.
