Can Folch was an industrial complex located in the present district of the Olympic Village district of Barcelona.
It was built in 1882. The factory system was producing steam and as such, was built a chimney extractor of smoke produced by burning coal . It was a distillery industrial of alcohols obtained from cereals. In 1893 was a factory of ice and at 1898, housed a flour warehouse.
Of all industrial factories Folch, only remained the chimney. It’s the most iconic of all as an example of the historical activity of the area disappeared to make way for the Olympic Village.
